Trim Levels

The base engine is matched to an automatic eight-speed transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available in most trims except the Ultimate, which has standard all-wheel drive. Sahuarita shoppers who opt for the Recharge T8 will get the standard engine with a plug-in hybrid system. The result is more power and fuel economy. This powertrain also provides up to 40 miles of fully electric range. All-wheel drive is standard if you get the plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Google Maps is the brand's standard navigation system, and it's also connected to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also four USB charging ports. The Volvo S60 has a standard 10-speaker sound system, while the Recharge T8 has 11 speakers in its audio system. If you get the Ultimate trim level, you'll get an even more sophisticated Harman Kardon sound system with 14 speakers. Catalina shoppers may want the Climate package that upgrades the sound system to a Bowers & Wilkins with 15 speakers on the Ultimate trim.
Safety
Many safety aids come with the Volvo S60. These include standard lane departure mitigation, rear cross-traffic warning, blind-spot warning, blind-spot intervention, forward collision mitigation, rear automatic braking, driver attention warning, and rear parking sensors. Front parking sensors are added to the Plus, along with a 360-degree camera. The Ultimate gains a head-up display.
